UUP MLA for South Antrim

Now that David Burnside has decided to stand down from the Assembly, as of 1st June 2009, Danny Kinahan is extremely honoured and proud to have been nominated by his Party leader and given the unanimous support of the South Antrim Constituency Association to be his replacement.

Danny has yet to be accepted formally into the Assembly and has yet to find out which committees he will sit on but he is content to spend the next two weeks sorting out how the constituency offices will be run and how best to work on the ground. He intends to keep both the Ballyclare and Antrim offices running and also intends to hold surgeries throughout the constituency whilst at the same time ensuring that the Ulster Unionist Party is on the ground meeting with the electorate and finding out what matters they need resolved.

Danny feels it is time that the Ulster Unionist Party won back the Westminster seat from the DUP who have let down the Unionists throughout Northern Ireland in so many ways since they got into power. He relishes the challenge.
