My Priorities Are
Families
Childcare, healthcare, the needs of the elderly and disabled, housing, education, employment, leisure, cultural opportunities and training for our young people must be key priorities for the next Assembly.
Healthcare
I will protect our Health Service at all costs. We are extremely proud of our high quality healthcare facilities in South Antrim. I will work to support patients, healthcare workers, administrators and ancillary staff across the constituency – the very people who hold our community together.
Policing
I support well targeted, well resourced policing that responds to local needs – a service that supports the law-abiding majority and protects the vulnerable by stamping out anti-social behaviour.
Business/Agriculture/Tourism
We need to tackle spiralling fuel prices, roads and transport, VAT, National Insurance, banking and the tangle of red tape from Europe that wastes so much time and money.
I will always support business owners, farmers and anyone who promotes our fantastic tourist attractions.
Local Government
Local government is crying out for reform.
We need to make sure that all branches of government work effectively together. I will actively support the case for accountable 24 hour government that treats us as the ‘customers’ we are.
I am committed to serving the entire electorate by covering the whole constituency using our mobile office as well as operating three offices in Antrim, Ballyclare and Newtownabbey.
